Nosara has learned from well-placed sources in Pelada that beloved area watering hole El Chivo will be adding an ayahuasca option to “Board Game Mondays”,  and possibly to more of its well-loved specialty nights.

“It’s what the people want,” said El Chivo spokesperson and three-time Pelada karaoke champion Diana Valverde Ávila. “For years now, all these wellness freaks around here have been all over Instagram talking smack about alcohol and how everyone should do ice baths instead.  Meanwhile, they are micro-dosing the hell out of everyone that shows up to their little circles and retreats. We’ve been losing business, and that’s gonna stop.”

Taking a page from the local wellness playbook,  Ávila says El Chivo plans to eventually add microdosing to pretty much everything they offer, starting with board game night, then eventually trivia night and karaoke night. Taco Tuesday will remain sacrosanct, however, he said. “We get a lot of families that night. Not really appropriate.”

Nosara Lately plans to report live from an upcoming, upgraded board game evening at El Chivo. “We are encouraging everyone to wear loose-fitting clothing,” said Ávila with a mischievous smile.
