Nosara residents may soon be able to enjoy direct home delivery of all their Amazon purchases, thanks to Liberty’s drone delivery program, set to begin in Q1 2026.
“We’ve been hoping to do this for years,” said store manager Areal Villalobos, “but the problem has always been the trees. The guanacastes and the pochotes. But now the deforestation has come to the point has gotten to the point where it is no longer a problem anymore. Especially in newly built areas where there is the greatest demand for this sort of thing. So I guess you could say it’s a win-win sort of thing.”
Package weight will – at the start – be limited to three pounds, and flown by small drones. “But we think that’s going to change pretty quickly, the way the technology is going.” said Villabobos.
Contacted for comment, long-time K-Section resident Kenneth McTavish snorted, then quickly changed the subject to how many days it took for him to get from Garza to the Guilded Iguana when he first got here.
