Tuesday market in Guiones considers adding estatic dance

Estatic dance has taken the Nosara community by storm, crossing all cultural boundaries and giving everyone the opportunity to dance like no one is looking. Coincidentally, this is one of the main rules of ecstatic dance: you are not supposed to look at anyone. Our well-educated reader base will know what we mean.

Nosara Lately can now confirm that the Tuesday market is actively considering integrating ecstatic dance. “We think it’s a natural step forward,” said jewelry seller Sally Starlink. “In Japan and Finland, they’ve been doing it for years. It’s sort of an organic rave vibe kind of thing.”

“We have all the ingredients,” chimed in her neighbor, a dreadlocked rocking chair merchant. “The Nosara fam is one amazing, beautiful community, and we can’t wait to come together like this.”

Concerns remain about how to handle logistics such as shopping bags and ATV’s and the many dogs that also show up for market each Tuesday. In addition, once every few months, the police show up and declare the market illegal and banned forever. Contacted for comment, the Nosara Fam official chat invited Nosara Lately to a planning meeting next Tuesday at Casa Pacifico that will include an opening invocation, a cacao ceremony, and a guided open space for expression, mutual recognition, and somatic reintegration led by legendary local Men’s facilitator and hairy-chested Instagram guy Gustavo Loria. (Energy exchange, sliding scale $10 – $40, cash only).

We at Nosara Lately are not sure if we will attend, but we will monitor the unfolding situation and inform our readers of all developments as they happen.
